Wonderful fall weather with a side of pneumonia

Yep, you heard me right...pneumonia. I am NEVER get sick, nor do I ever have the time to be sick but I guess I can't get this beautiful fall weather AND enjoy it to...sigh :(
Well... one things for sure,  this momma has a lot of free time while laying in bed this week. As you have read in my previous post...my husband will be having hip surgery soon. Which is going to put a huge, and I mean HUGE finally bump in the road for us. He is a self employed electrician and he works his cute little butt off to make the comfortable life we have. Take that away for 6 months and I am not quite sure how I'll survive.  Not saying I need new clothes or eating out at restaurants every night, but I mean ZERO income from him for 6 months. I make a small amount as an EMT for our local ambulance service. ..but $500 isn't going to pay or $1,200 in bills plus keep up with our "fun, outgoing, fly by the seat of your pants" lifestyle we have going one.
SOOOO, while I am here laying in bed recouping from this awful illness no mother has time for, I am going to learn how to be a frugal, money saving mommy.  I am going to learn how to coupon, get free sample, can food for winter, heck I may even learn how to make my kids some clothes... doubtful on the last one! I am going to try my best to learn how to be the money saving mommy and wife my family needs be to be right now.
I know most families are doing the same thing right now so I plan to weed out all the junk, spam and waste of your time ads and bring you the best ways to save money &/or even make money!

Well...first off I am new to blogging...VERY new! So please be patient with me while I figure out all the tips and tricks!

I am now a mother of 2 school kids...tear! Which means I have some free time on my hands. Okay so I could / should probably be doing something else...but you only live once and blogging is something I have wanted to try for a while now!
We are a homegrown, diy kind of family! We live in "Colorful Colorado". No not the cabin in the woods, skiing out your front door part of Colorado, but the flat, windy, cow smellin' part of Colorado. But either way we love our state and make it our home! I am a stay-at-home mom. And by stay-at-home mom I mean I work my butt off being a Mom,Wife, EMT, college student, Sunday School teacher, running a clothing ministry in our church ,a Business woman as a Promoter for Le-Vel, and my husband's secretary for his Electrical business, and I LOVE every minute of it!I am trying to be the homemade, homegrown kinda mom and wife, which brings me to my obsession with Pinterest! Although sometimes I think I should get paid to post Pinterest "FAIL" pictures for my cooking and diy attempts, I love all the creative, yummy Pinterest things! I literally have a pin for everything....which y'all will learn, and hopefully love!
My family is full of joy and laughter along with some struggles and tears.  I hope by being honest with this blog...I can help someone who has been through the places we have, and I am sure will have in the future.
